I recently did some research on the ingredients in instant teas. There are so many chemicals that I question if there is actually any tea in there.

I brew iced black tea everyday and you are right it is so easy and cost effective to do. I find that with a slice of lemon added I don't need to add sugar which is another plus.

Childhood obesity is a major problem in the United States. Home made iced tea is so much healthier than soda and artificially sweetened beverages in my opinion.

I am having a luncheon tea for my grand daughter next month. The strawberries are out this month so I sliced a quart of burries and added a cup of sugar to each cup of burries. They sat out all night and the next morning the remaining sugar was at the bottom of the bowl and the strawberries and juice was at the top. I then placed the berries and juice in a saucepan for about twenty minutes. When the mixture cooled I put it in a freezer bag and frozed the strawberries and juice. I froze the sugar left in the bowl to sweeten the tea, then I'll add a tablespoon of the stawberries and juice mixture for each glass. This is strawberry tea and very little trouble to me.

I like to use 3 mint medley and one lemon.

I'm new and am having a hard time figuring out how to post a question. Can someone assist?
Thank you

I am recently learning to like iced tea as a healthier alternative to juice and soda.
If I do not have loose leaf tea, about how many tea bags should I use?

My mom just sent me a variety of fruit flavored teas, and I am eager to try them out.

Thanks!

My signature is orange pekoe and black tea mixed in a yummy iced tea. I use 1 orange tea bag for every 3 black. It's so good!

We drink tea all summer long, too. And peach and blackberry (unsweetened) are our favorite.
Yay for tea season!

I agree! During the summer my sun tea jar is always filled with tea brewed from whole leaves! I keep mine unsweetened and have a simple sugar syrup ready in a cleaned out honey bear ready to go.
