I know Aunt Mary is unpleasant to be around and monopolizes every conversation but I also know she'd be terribly hurt to not be invited. It would upset not only Aunt Mary but her daughters as well. I think that space considerations are always my biggest concern with invites (not usually adults, but children if they are included in the event as well).
