All her ideas are great. I have a 2 year old who loves to drink "baby tea" (chamomille) in an espresso cup. I am planning to have a tea party for her third birthday but wasn't sure how to make it age appropriae. I have hosted tea parties for small gatherings with friends and it was so much fun. I LOVE the penguin tray in the picture and was wondering where I can find similar items.

I love the great ideas on making food fun. I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old that absolutely love tea parties. I am interested in hosting a tea party for them and their friends and am interested in what other great ideas you might have for them.

I like the suggestion of going over the "rules of the table." I have hosted many church tea parties for ladies, and am now hosting a Girl Scout tea party for local troops. It surprises me how many girls have no idea about table manners and etiquette. I think at our GS tea party, we will have a presentation of proper tea party etiquette, to let the girls know what is expected, but in a fun way. I have gotten so many great ideas from this site! Thanks so much for your hard work!!

Tea parties for children are so much fun - my little girls' best memories are of our impromptu silly tea parties in our dining room all dressed up. We loved it so much that I've started my own online store www.teapartytreasures.com to help all little ladies celebrate the magic of tea time. Cheerio!

I love Donna's ideas for making food "fun" and I think I'm going to add some colored sugar to this afternoon's scones instead of the raw sugar I usually sprinkle on them!

But what I love best is that Donna's business is in Santa Clarita! (I'm in Simi Valley.) With 5 children ranging from 10 1/2 to 5 weeks, I could use some new children's party ideas/help! :) I will definitely be checking out her website!

Carina

PS Hope the week at Huntington Beach was a time of fun family memories as well as refreshment!
