Austen may have written nearly 2 centuries ago but a lot of what she said is as true today as it was then. There are many lessons for living a life to be found in the pages of her novels. I live in Yorkshire, England a good afternoons walk from Haworth, home of the Brontë family, but Austen is perhaps more of a favourite writer.

I really enjoy Jane Austen too. It was sortof a cliche in college, to be a Jane Austen fan, but I’ve since seen the light and joined in the madness.

Ah, enjoy! This is one of the few times I will miss not having a television! Enjoy for me, please! And let me know what you think of the tea. I love it and I’ve had mixed reviews from others.

Last Sunday evening my husband was out of town on a business trip and I set our DVR to record Masterpiece every Sunday evening so I wouldn’t miss it. Later in the evening I settled in for my movie, I clicked on the menu and pushed play, it said Recording Error. I was heartsick. Needless to say, I didn’t get to watch it. So, I put in my DVD series of That Girl that I got for Christmas. I loved that show. I am now on Season Two. That is a far cry from Jane Austin. Hopefully my recorder will work next week.

Masterpiece Theatre was on at our house Sunday night (and will continue to be so for the next few months) too! I did my senior thesis at university on the novels of Jane Austen, so I am always happy to re-visit my old friend.

I have Victoria’s book, “The Charms of Tea,” but not their “Pleasures of Tea.” I’ll have to be on the lookout for it; thanks for the recommendation!
